關於小馬哥的綠卡是否失效呢??

我的澳洲朋友寫了mail給我，因為我看了今天的新聞說是AIT久遠以前的一個新聞稿，說了小馬的綠卡有效部有效的問題，anyway, 新聞如下，黃小偉的response如下，而黃小偉在msn上面跟我說小馬必須prove his green status...I said "do you think AIT or U.S. govenment will provide an offical report to prove this?" That's impossible!! But, 黃小偉提出一個很大的點，大家也可正視這期間的difference....

在台協會指出，美國移民歸化局自一九九三年十一月起，便一直促請持有舊I-151卡（綠卡）者申請換領新卡。欲換領新卡的人士，必須在抵達美國時，向美國移民歸化局提出填寫完整的申請表（I-90表格）及七十五美元申請費。換句話說，馬當年持有的綠卡屬舊的I-151卡，又沒申請換領新卡，舊卡自然已失效。

So do you understand it now? It is like if you did not renew your ID, your old ID would not be effective. But once you think you do need an ID to do your day-to-day activities, then you go and pay $200NTD for getting a new ID. Basically, it is just a matter of honesity in this instance. No one cares if your so-called "Green Card" is already expired or ""Invalid" in Mr. Ma's language; but we are all concerned if you are still legally entitled to such a status. I really hope you can understand the difference I am trying to explain to you.

也就是說"expired" 是指過期....小馬的應屬過期....而非"invalid" 失效!!.....

我瞭了，黃小偉....^^ ，但不管如何，綠卡的問題對我來說都不是問題呢~~
